The Vineyard- December 22, 2013

The Vineyard
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

Isaiah 9:1-6
Pray for God to speak to you through the reading of His word.
Read the passage.
-          From Darkness into Light
o   The passage speaks of people in darkness that sees a great light.  How was your life darkness before you accepted Christ?
o   How does Christ light the way for you in your own life?
-          From Slavery to Freedom
o   What in your life has enslaved you?  What forces enslave society?
o   How does Christ free you from what enslaves you personally?  How does he free society from what enslaves us?
-          It’s About Christ
o   Ultimately this passage is about Christ.  It speaks of how God meets us in the darkness through Jesus the Messiah.
o   What does it tell you, that Christ seeks us out in the darkness?  What does it tell you about the love of God?
Thank God for the marvelous light of Christ!
Thank God for the freedom that comes from knowing Christ.
Thank God for seeking us out in the form of Jesus Christ.
