Off with the Old
o
Paul gives an extensive list of
things that are associated with the old way of living, with the sinful way of
living. As you examine the list, do you
notice anything on there that you continue to struggle with?

On with the New
o
There is also a list of things that
should characterize our new life, our new way of living. Is there anything on this list that you find
difficult? Is there anything on here that
you know you have gotten better at as a Christian?

The Ultimate Test
o
When in doubt about whether
something is right, ask yourself this simple question, “is Christ glorified by
this action?” If not, don’t do it!
Pray that we will receive the
strength we need from God to put off our old way of living.
Pray that we will receive the Spirit
we need from God to empower our new way of living.
Pray that we will devote ourselves
to glorifying Christ in everything that we do.
