The Vineyard- May 3, 2015

The Vineyard

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

John 15:1-8

-          Life

o   Our life comes through Christ, specifically our being connected to Him.

o   In what ways do you “make your home” in Christ?  What ways could you better abide in Him?

-          Humility

o   Sometimes God prunes us, which can be a painful and challenging process.

o   How does God’s pruning assure us of His love for us?

o   In what ways do we benefit from God’s pruning?

-          Fruit

o   A mark of our discipleship is our bearing fruit for Christ.

o   What fruit have you born for Christ?

o   If you haven’t born any fruit for Christ, is it possible you are not connected to Him?

Praise God for giving us life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ask God to prune away anything in our life that gets in our way of drawing closer to Him.

Seek to become more connect to Christ, so that you can bear more fruit for Him.
