The Vineyard
I am the vine; you are the
branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
Genesis 14:1-24
Pray for God to speak to you through
the reading of His word.
Read the passage.
-
Faith Risks for Others
o
Abram takes a great risk, even
putting his life in jeopardy, to save his nephew Lot. Would you risk so much for someone who had
taken what was rightfully yours?
-
Faith is a Mutual Blessing
o
What people of faith has God placed
in your path?
o
What encouragement do you receive
from these people of faith?
-
Faith is its Own Reward
o
Abram doesn’t accept the offer of
loot after his victory. Why do you think
that is?
o
How is faith its own reward for
Abram? How is it its own reward for you?
Pray that we will have a faith that
is willing to take risks for others.
Pray that God will use our faith to
bless others, and that God will place people in our lives whose faith blesses
us.
Pray that we will understand faith
in God to be its own reward, and that it will be our chief source of hope and
joy.
