Welcome!

Welcome to the blog of the Glenmora Church of Christ, in Glenmora, Louisiana. Whether you are a part of our church family or a friend from miles away, we hope that you will follow this blog as a means of celebrating with us all of the ways God is at work in our community. Our goal is to share with you reflections on what we have learned from God's word in recent weeks, information on upcoming events, updates on those in need of our prayers, as well as reports of praise for those whose prayers have been answered! Additionally, we hope to share lots of pictures so that you will be able to actually SEE the many ways that God continues to bless us through worship, study, and wonderful friendships. And of course, if you live in or are visiting Glenmora, we would love to SEE you!
May God bless you as you seek to follow Christ!

The kind of fellowship you don't need a fork for...

On many Sunday nights after evening worship, the young adults from church gather with their friends from neighboring churches and the community to play a little volleyball.  And while this type of get-together burns a lot more calories than the typical potluck after church, we certainly don't abstain from the more traditional methods of "fellowshipin'", with pizza and chocolate chip cookies providing the "nourishment" needed for several competitive matches.  If you're in the area on a Sunday night, we invite you to come worship with us.  Just bring your gym shorts with you, cause the night might not end until some volleyball has been played!
(If you are interested in seeing more photos from the evening, follow the link at the bottom of the page under the church's photostream to our flickr site.  Also, thanks to Carol Babb Photography, Inc. for the great action shots)
