Welcome!

Welcome to the blog of the Glenmora Church of Christ, in Glenmora, Louisiana. Whether you are a part of our church family or a friend from miles away, we hope that you will follow this blog as a means of celebrating with us all of the ways God is at work in our community. Our goal is to share with you reflections on what we have learned from God's word in recent weeks, information on upcoming events, updates on those in need of our prayers, as well as reports of praise for those whose prayers have been answered! Additionally, we hope to share lots of pictures so that you will be able to actually SEE the many ways that God continues to bless us through worship, study, and wonderful friendships. And of course, if you live in or are visiting Glenmora, we would love to SEE you!
May God bless you as you seek to follow Christ!

The Vineyard- July 15, 2012

The Vineyard
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

Luke 2:40-52
-  Jesus was part of a family that made their relationship with God a priority.  Attending the religious festivals was part of their routine.  How have you made God a part of your family’s routine?  What spiritual routines do you have that will help your children grow in their relationship with God?
- Those around Jesus recognized his wisdom in the answers he provided while speaking with the teachers in the Temple.  How can we recognize and develop the talents and gifts of our young people?
- As we read this story about Jesus’ as a boy, we see him growing so that he takes on an increasingly active role in making decisions for himself.  How can we prepare our children for the time when they have to make decisions for themselves?

Seaside with the Savior
- This week our children will be spending four nights learning about Jesus.  Pray that their minds will grow in understanding, and that their hearts will grow to love Jesus more.
- Just because we are adults, doesn’t mean we stop learning about Jesus.  What things do you still need to learn about Jesus?  How will learning those things help you follow him more closely?
