The Vineyard
I am the vine; you are the
branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
Genesis 21:1-34
Pray for God to speak to you through
the reading of His word.

God Delivers Promised Blessings
o
Sometimes we resent God for not
giving us things, but we forget that God promises
us very few things.
o
Though God promises few things, they are the most important things. How
does God’s promise of salvation help us endure all of life’s other
disappointments?
-
Learning to Live with Blessings
o
Have you ever had a time in your
life where you got exactly what you wanted, but there were unforeseen
consequences?
o
What challenges do we face in trying
to learn how to live with the blessings God has given us?
-
Anticipating the Future
o
Both Abraham and Hagar work to
prepare for the future God has promised their descendants. In what ways are you working for the
future? Is your mind focused more on
heaven, or on earth?
Thank God for delivering on His
promise to provide salvation.
Pray that God will teach you how to
manage your blessings in a way that glorifies Him.
Pray that God will help us live in a
way that demonstrates our faith in the future He has prepared for us.
