Additionally, we hope to share lots of pictures so that you will be able to actually SEE the many ways that God continues to bless us through worship, study, and wonderful friendships. And of course, if you live in or are visiting Glenmora, we would love to SEE you!

The Vineyard- October 4, 2015

The Vineyard- October 4, 2015
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

Genesis 43:1-34
Pray for God to speak to you through the reading of His word.
Read the passage.
-          Necessity is the mother of faith?
o   Have you ever faced a challenge or trial in your life where faith was a necessity?
o   How did you respond in that moment when you needed faith?
-          Proactively building a reactive faith
o   The ability to respond in faith when confronted with challenges and trials is born out of proactively preparing ourselves.
o   What things can you do to build your faith so that it is strong when you face times of trial and challenges?
-          Remembering God’s goodness
o   When Jacob is confronted with a life-or-death decision, he invokes a blessing from God, and refers to God in a familiar way.  The way that Jacob refers to God is the way he is referred to in key moments in the life of Jacob’s family.
o   What are some ways God has blessed you in the past?
o   What can you do to remember God’s past goodness and faithfulness when facing trying times?
Pray that when faith is necessary, your faith will be real and present in your life.
Dedicate yourself to proactively strengthening your faith.

Rehearse all the ways that God has blessed you, and been faithful to you in the past.
