The Vineyard
I am the vine; you are the
branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
Luke 5:12-16
- How does the leper approach Jesus? Do we ever show this kind of humility when
approaching God?
- Jesus deliberately touches a leper that everyone else went
out of their way to avoid. Has God ever
touched you when you felt alone? Have
you ever been able to extend a touch of kindness to someone forgotten or
ostracized? If so, how did that make you
feel?
- What does Jesus tell the leper to do after he is cleansed?
Hebrews 11:32-40
- Does the author of Hebrews list anyone in this passage who
you are not familiar with? Which
person’s story jumps out at you?
- The author implies that the list could go on and on. Who from the Bible would you include on this
list, who isn’t already on it? Who from
your life would you place on this list?
- What does it say these people of faith accomplished
because of their faith?
- What does it say of these people in v. 38?
