The Vineyard
I am the vine; you are the
branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
I Corinthians 15:12-34
Pray for God to speak to you through
the reading of His word.
Read the passage.

Would you be pitied?
o
Paul says that if the resurrection
didn’t happen, we are to be most pitied.
Has your faith caused you to change how you live, to make sacrifices for
God and for others? If it turned out
that the resurrection didn’t happen, would people pity you because of how much
you poured yourself into living for God?
-
We are to be envied!
o
Thankfully, the resurrection did
happen. If death is the unmaking of
humanity in God’s image, then the resurrection is our being remade into the
image of God. Has your response to the
resurrection led you to act more like Christ?
-
Act like you know God
o
How we act is determined by whether
we believe in God, and what kind of God we believe in. Would people look at your behavior, and think
“that person knows God”? If not, what in
your life needs to change?
Pray that we might spend our lives
completely in service to God and the gospel.
Pray that we will allow God to
remake us in the image of Christ.
Pray that our behavior will reflect
our relationship with God.
