The Vineyard
I am the vine; you are the
branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
Acts 6:1-15
Pray for God to speak to you through
the reading of his word.
Read the passage.
-
Ministry as problem-solving
o
Why do you think God is concerned to
see the church take care of those in need?
o
What problems could you help solve,
either as an individual, or as part of the church?
-
Ministry as cooperation
o
How does cooperation lead to
effective ministry?
o
What talents or skills do you have
that could help the church’s effort to minister to others?
-
The Danger of Ministry
o
Would others see you as someone who
stands for their beliefs?
o
Are you willing to suffer for
standing up for Jesus and the gospel?
Pray that we as individuals and as a
church will identify the problems in our community, and seek ways of addressing
those problems.
Pray that we will cooperate with
God, and with each other, in ministry.
Pray that we will be bold in our
stand for the gospel as we minister to those around us.
